Skills in Demand and National Innovation Visa Rollout Expected

The Department of Home Affairs has announced on 3 December 2024 that the new skills in demand visa will be introduced on 7 December 2024. The Core Skills Occupation List comprises of 456 occupations including in the construction, agriculture, cyber security, health, and education sectors.

Some of the most popular occupations such as cook, chef, sales and marketing manager and accountant roles will remain on the list.

The Department also confirmed that further details in relation to the National Innovation visa will be announced shortly.
